Missouri Show Me CHARACTERplus Implementation Study

In the fall of 2002, CHARACTERplus®/CSD was chosen to administer two federal grants from the US Department of Education. The resulting studies will help to gauge the effectiveness of character education and how it affects school climate, a student's sense of belonging and academic achievement. Each study provides schools with character education resources, teacher training and evaluation services over the four-year period. The focus of the Missouri Show Me CHARACTERplus Implementation Study is to spread the CHARACTERplus process across the state of Missouri. Students, parents and teachers are surveyed in order to have statistical evidence of the effectiveness of character education. For a listing of the randomly selected Missouri schools that are involved in the study click here. To learn more about this study, contact Judy Owens at OwensJudy@aol.com.
