The Conference has been approved by University of Missouri St. Louis for 1 CEU. Yes. The Conference has been approved by University of Missouri St. Louis for 1 CEU. Illinois teachers who attend programs offered by the University of Missouri-St. Louis - or any programs offered by organizations outside the University which have been approved for CEUs - may receive CPDUs for their participation if the subject matter of the program or training is relevant to their jobs. Teachers are required to have two documents in order to satisfy Illinois State Board of Education requirements for CPDUs (available at the Conference HELP DESK). The first is a document which describes the training in sufficient detail to determine relevance of the subject matter – a brochure, a hard copy of a web screen from the CE website describing the event or training, or a similar document. The second document is proof of attendance which indicates the number of contact hours in which they participated. A CEU certificate, which indicates not only the CEUs obtained but also the number of contact hours, satisfies this second requirement. These two items must be submitted, along with a form obtained from the teacher’s school, at the end of the teacher’s certification cycle. The information will then be entered into the teacher’s personnel/certification files.
