What Makes CHARACTERplus Work?

Networking and Community Support are Keys to Long-term Success

  • The District Leaders Council, a nucleus of leaders who carry the vision, develop and sustain the infrastructure, disseminate information and build teams within the schools of their respective districts.
  • The Superintendents Council, which provides leadership and vision, and champions the work within the district.
  • Membership Fees are Matched The annual fees contribute 50% of the operating budget. A major campaign, held every three years, raises funds from corporations, foundations and individuals to match the districts' contributions. In addition, CHARACTERplus seeks grants and in-kind contributions from national and community partners to benefit its member schools.
