Goals & Results
Target Goals are set by the Superintendents' Council and results are updated in Benchmarks, published annually in August.
One benchmark involves qualified third-party evaluations that assess the infusion of character into school culture. The highest level of third-party evaluation is the National Schools of Character Process. Missouri and specifically CHARACTERplus members have led the country in earning the greatest number of awards of any participating state, with a cumulative total of 16 out of 137 by 2010.
