CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

April 4 @ 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

CPI Logo

CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention is considered the worldwide standard for crisis prevention and intervention training. With a core philosophy that provides for the care and safety of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give you the skills to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile or violent behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care.

This program is evidence-based and aligned with PBIS and national standards. It is among a few select programs recommended to fulfill the requirements of Missouri Law (RSMo 160.263) and is a DESE model policy. Come and learn how to:

  • Most effectively respond to each behavior to prevent escalation
  • Use verbal and nonverbal techniques to defuse hostile behavior
  • Resolve a crisis before it becomes violent
  • Cope with your own fear and anxiety
  • Use CPI’s Principles of Personal Safety to avoid injury

Note: Completion of full session provides CPI Certification. Workshop begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.
