$75 – $95

Learn about Brown Elementary’s 3-year journey incorporating the questions that guide restorative resolutions into their everyday language. It began with an honest look at suspension data and an understanding that the answer lies in culture change and discipline that seeks accountability and repair. Learn about mindsets and strategies that have made the difference, reducing the number of suspensions by 50% in three years and nearly eliminating recidivism including:

  • Students in cross-age family groups;
  • Morning meetings;
  • Positive relationships that safeguard student dignity;
  • Professional development for principal and staff;
  • Learning, posting, modeling and getting comfortable with restorative questions;
  • Process of restorative questions and consequence development for both students and staff.
